Free Document Shred-A-Thon May 15 (RAIN DATE: May 22, same time/place)

The first annual Shred-A-Thon presented by the Bowie Chamber of Commerce will be held May 15, 2010 at the Bowie Plaza (Brookshire’s) parking lot. Shredding begins at 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

With identity theft on the rise, this is the perfect way for you to safely discard your sensitive documents i.e.; old checks, income tax forms, credit card statements, etc. Check the BBB Records Retention Schedule at bottom of this page. Acceptable items: paper, files including aluminum brads, prongs or paper clips, file folders. Please, No three ring binders or heavy type metal. Three (3) box limit.
