During the last weekend of June, Bowie comes alive with the festivities of Jim Bowie Days Festival and Rodeo. One of the highlights is the 8th annual Jim Bowie Bass Tournament will take place on Amon Carter Lake on Sunday June 20th.

The nightly Rodeo is one of the largest amateur rodeos in Texas. Daytime activities include: parades, games for young and old (such as frog jumping and turtle racing), a Rodeo Queen Contest, Indian Artifact Show, Car Show and lots of food and music.
