Kids Tractor Pull at Pelham Park
September 25th will be a day of Western music, rodeo, exhibits, chuck wagon food and Kid’s Tractor Pulls at the First Ever Western Heritage Roundup! It’s not every day a kid gets a chance to become a star, unless of course he or she is at the Kids Pedal Tractor Pull Competition.
Kids from four to twelve are welcome to be in the event for free and compete in a fast paced, action packed, pedal tractor pull. Each tractor has been modified for heavy pulling and is attached to a weight transfer sled. The sled is filled with a certain amount of weight which is determined by the age of each participant. As kids pedal down the path, the weight in the bucket transfers up the sled and makes it harder to pedal. Some kids do exceptionally well and are able to pedal the tractor all the way down the 25 foot path. Those kids go to the next round. Regardless of the outcome, every child is encouraged to do their best and receives a ribbon for competing.
Sign-up the day of the event. Proceeds benefit the abused and neglected children of Montague County. The Pedal Pull is sanctioned by the National Pedal Pullers Association, will be hosted by the Cub Scout Pack 116. The State Pull-Off will be in the Spring of 2011. For more info contact Terry Greenroy at 940-872-2639.
And if you don’t have a smile when you get there, don’t worry, you will have one by the time you leave. So get those legs in shape and come see us at the Kids Pedal Tractor Pulls!
